Ozeri Food Scale Review – Best Food Scale To Buy?

I decided to write an Ozeri food scale review because I personally own this one and use it every single day. I actually own another one too, and I was searching through my attic trying to find it everywhere, but I finally just gave up, so I decided to buy this one.

I can’t tell you if this is the best food scale to buy but I WILL say, I love it so much. It’s been a game-changer in my life, mainly because this tiny little device that sits on my kitchen counter has helped me transform my body in just a few months.

I set off on a journey to get into shape, and since using this scale, my body fat has gone down by about 3% and I’ve gone from 153 lbs to 141 lbs in just a few months. I wasn’t trying to lose weight actually, but I guess that naturally happens when your goal is to burn fat and get lean.

And if your goal is just to measure food because you’re following specific recipes & you just need it for cooking purposes, I feel it works just as well. I can’t believe how much easier it’s become to follow recipes that require certain ounces or grams of food that I never knew how to accurately measure in the past.

I chose to buy the Ozeri Food Scale because it was less than $15 and had over 40,000 Amazon reviews. The majority of customers were extremely pleased with their purchases, so I decided to buy it. Automatic Unit Button

The automatic unit button is fantastic because not all foods that you bring home from the grocery store have their nutrition labeled in “ounces”. Some of them are labeled in grams or milliliters. Maybe you need to weigh your food in pounds. You can choose whichever option you want before you weigh your food with this scale. You’ll see results on the digital screen.

The Tare Button

This little tare button makes measuring your foods so much easier and way less messy. You don’t want to place a whole chicken breast on the measuring plate and get it all covered in gross chicken juice.

So, the Tare button allows you to place a plate or bowl on the measuring plate, and then it resets the food scale to zero, so that the plate or bowl isn’t included in your food measurement. This way, you can place that nasty slimy chicken breast into the bowl and measure it.

Small, Cute, Convenient

It’s small, and I really like that. I don’t even have a coffee maker because I can’t stand clutter. I’d rather have instant coffee than a coffee maker, cause seeing an extra item taking up space in my kitchen drives me kind of crazy.

The great thing about this scale is that it’s super small, and very light. You can easily move it into a cabinet where you don’t see it, or on top of the fridge when you don’t feel like seeing it on the counter. It’s small enough to me that I don’t mind it even sitting on the counter.

My best friend who lost 25 pounds in a couple of months, following my eating plan, bought a food scale too, and his is bulkier. His is a bit fancier cause the digital numbers light up and the weighing plate is made of glass. His is also rectangular.

I prefer mine, even if the cover is made of plastic. Cause sometimes it DOES get slightly dirty. For instance, I may just weigh chips on it, cause I didn’t feel like grabbing a bowl.

It’s very easy to take the cover off and just wash it in the sink. Let it dry and put it back on. My friend’s scale doesn’t have that option from what I saw. My scale won’t break if you drop it, but if I dropped his, I’m pretty sure it would, cause of the glass.

Inexpensive

I don’t know how many scales I looked through before I bought this one. I mean, I’m not passionate about food scales, so I’m sure I didn’t spend hours looking through them. It’s not like any of them are crazy expensive either. But, I made my decision on this one, cause it was inexpensive, and had the best reviews. It also looked conveniently small, so it was the best buy for my needs.

Great Little Investment For Your Health

I love this scale, but I really don’t have any other ones to compare it to, except for my best friend who bought one too. If there’s a downside, I guess it’s that the measuring plate is made of plastic, but to me that’s actually a positive thing, cause it won’t break if you drop it.

My purpose behind making the purchase of a food scale may be different than yours. I bought one because I decided to get into shape, and seriously track my calories in a way that I never did before. And by the way, just in case you’re searching for a food scale for that purpose too, whenever you weigh meat, ALWAYS weigh it BEFORE you cook it. Otherwise you’re not tracking your calories properly.

I will say that this scale seems to be extremely accurate. Since I started using it, I’ve been calculating my calories in a way that I never did before. Using this scale along with the MyNetDiary app has been essential for my fitness progress.

As far as convenience and price go, I love it. I mean you’re spending so little for something that does so much for you. It was a no brainer purchase. I’d buy it again if someone stole it from my kitchen. Cause you know, there are lots of food scale robbers out there.
