Setting off on a journey to lose weight and get into shape isn’t an easy one. We must overcome not only physical barriers, but also mental barriers that often get the best of us. No one is perfect, and we will stumble and fall on our journey.

Sometimes, all we need is some motivation to keep going. It’s not always easy to find that from loved ones and friends, and it’s not because they don’t support us on our paths to better ourselves. It’s simply because they aren’t walking in our shoes.

The path we travel down can often be lonely, even with all the support in the world. Here are some quotes that I hope resonate from within, and inspire you to keep pushing forward. Perseverance is the name of the game, and if you just keep going, you’ll hit those weight loss goals you’ve set for yourself.

So, without further ado, here are some motivational weight loss quotes images that I hope resonate with you.

1 – Weight Loss Doesn’t Begin In The Gym With A Dumbbell. It Starts In Your Head With A Decision

It’s true. We need to just make a decision in our minds. That determination is the start of it all.

2 – The Only Way You Will See Results Is If You Stay Consistent

Consistency is absolutely key. It’s much easier to get started than it is to keep going. You’ve won half the battle by starting. Now continue fighting by giving your all every day.

3 – Yesterday You Said Tomorrow

How often have we said we’ll start tomorrow. Remember, tomorrow was once yesterday, and yesterday, today was tomorrow. Let’s just eliminate all the confusion. Get started right now.

4 – Comparison Is The Death Of Joy

It couldn’t be more true. The last thing in the world we should be doing is comparing our own progress with anyone else’s. We’re all different. Different body types and minds. We’re all on our own paths. The only person you should be comparing yourself to is yourself.

5 – If It Doesn’t Challenge You, It Doesn’t Change You

This is why fad diets are never sustainable. Where’s the challenge in them? Quick fixed don’t last. When we become serious to make a change in our bodies, we learn that the path will be work. That challenge is worth it when you start to see all your efforts pay off.

6 – Work Hard In Silence. Let Success Be Your Noise

There’s no need to be so loud about the paths we are embarking on to get fit and lose weight. Silence is priceless. Let your results speak for themselves.

7 – Accepting Myself As I Am Right Now Is The First Step In Growing And Evolving

It’s sometimes hard to do, but we have to be honest with ourselves and accept where we are right at this very moment. Then start taking the appropriate steps to achieve our desired bodies.

8 – Stop Wishing And Start Doing

Wishing can be a great thing. It can be the spark of a new journey. But dreams become a reality when we stop thinking about them and start working towards them.

9 – Take It One Day At A Time

There’s no other way to do it. One step at a time and one day at a time. Let your baby steps be your guide, and look back a month from now. You’ll have come so far.

10 – Fitness: A Lifestyle With No Finish Line

When we truly work on ourselves and change our habits, which take time and effort, we begin to realize this is a journey. It was never a quick fix. When you start to see health & fitness as a lifestyle, it will no longer feel like a chore, because it will be an essential piece of who you are single day. And others will absolutely notice.

11 – You Can’t Hate Yourself Into A Version That You Love

There’s no room for hate when we are building ourselves up and losing weight. It’s normal for us to get down on ourselves from time to time, but we need to quickly eliminate negative thinking and focus on the path moving forward, and who we want to become.

12 – Every Accomplishment Starts With The Decision To Try

It’s as simple as that. Just make the decision to get started and you’ve already won half the battle.

13 – To Climb Steep Hills Requires Slow Pace At First

As you begin your journey, remember, slow and steady is the best pace to go. As you become comfortable on your journey, you can increase your speed as you feel comfortable doing so.

14 – Mistakes Are Proof That You Are Trying

There’s no such thing as a straight line to success. The only way we grow is by making mistakes. If you’re making mistakes, then you’re growing and changing into the person you want to become.

15 – It’s Not About Losing The Weight. It’s About Losing The Mindset & Lifestyle That Got You There

It really isn’t about the weight as much as it is about limiting beliefs that we have about what we’re capable of. This is why having the right mindset is so important. Start your journey, imperfectly, and focus on where you want to go. Allow mistakes to happen, and keep pushing forward. That negative thinking won’t last long when you fight through it.

16 – You Have To Believe In Yourself When No One Else Does

The journey to get into shape and lose weight can be a lonely one. Our friends and family often don’t understand the commitment we’ve made to ourselves to make a change. It’s okay if they don’t understand. You know what to do. Just move forward and keep going. They’ll believe in you and be so inspired when you come back showing them what you’ve accomplished.

17 – It’s Going To Be A Journey. It’s Not A Sprint To Get Into Shape

It’s absolutely a journey. There’s no way around it. This is why fad diets and quick fixes simply don’t work. Long term success requires work. And continuous work is always a part of a journey.

18 – Three Months From Now You’ll Thank Yourself

It’s amazing what you can accomplish in only 3 months. And it’s a short enough time frame to stay motivated and see some serious weight loss results. It’s also a great way to keep yourself accountable. When those 3 months are up, you’ll want to keep going another 3 months to see how you can take those results to the next level.

19 – Focus On Teeny Tiny Changes

Baby steps are the way to go when it comes to losing weight. It may not feel like very much when you don’t see huge changes day after day, but when you look back at all those baby steps over the course of a few weeks and see the weight has come off, you should feel proud of yourself, and your dedication to keep going.

20 – Success Is Nothing More Than A Few Simple Disciplines Practiced Every Day

It’s true. The simplicity of weight loss is often overlooked. Just begin with a few simple disciplines, and turn them into habits. Once you’ve mastered those habits, then start another. Build each one up, and watch yourself transform into a new you.

21 – Make It Happen. Shock Every Single One Of Them

And in the end, that’s exactly what you’ll do. Work quietly towards your goals. The proof is in your results. Jaws will drop, and you’ll feel absolutely amazing.
