What’s An Enchilada?

Those who aren’t familiar with the enchilada could very well mistake it with a burrito. The main difference is actually in the tortilla – a Burrito uses one made from flour while the enchilada uses a wrap made from corn.

Apart from this, enchiladas are usually eaten using a fork, while Burritos are pretty much always eaten using our hands. Various Spanish-speaking countries have their own versions of the same meal.

One of the awesome things about enchiladas is just how versatile they are when it comes to the fillings you can put on them. They can be filled with meats (like beef, chicken, pork, or even vegan alternatives), a variety of cheeses, vegetables, or a combination of all these things.

Because they’re so versatile, enchiladas are a great option for those looking for a tasty dish low in calories and also healthy. One of ways to make them amazingly delicious and healthy is by whipping up some Tomatillo Enchilada Sauce.
