Kinobody Review – Movie Star Body Results & Transformations

In this Kinobody review I’ll be specifically discussing my results with bodyweight training, better known as the Kinobody Movie Star Body routine.   You’ll also find before and after photos from people who have gone through Kinobody workouts themselves.

The Movie Star Body program is powerful.  It works all your major muscle groups and has the ability to completely transform your physique, not to mention your life.

In all my years being a health & fitness fanatic, I’ve never followed a workout plan & eating routine that completely blew my mind like Kinobody has.  When it comes to muscle growth and burning fat, nothing compares.

I lost 15 pounds and dropped 3% body fat within a few months. The amazing thing about it is that it seemed so easy.

It almost didn’t make sense to me how that could just happen when I’ve done so many other workouts and eating plans that felt so much more tedious.

I was so inspired by the results, that I started writing blog articles to help people.

To be honest, I don’t even know what I was expecting when I bought the program. I actually discovered Kinobody completely by accident. But it was one of the best accidents of my life.

I was watching a training on how to rank YouTube videos during the pandemic.

Within that training, the instructor showed a list of YouTube channels that successfully ranked their videos using smart SEO strategies, and “Kinobody” was one of them.

What On Earth is Kinobody?

I did some research and soon became very intrigued, as I learned about unique eating habits and workout variations to gain muscle mass and lose body fat that are staples of all Kinobody routines.

One thing that stood out over and over is “you can eat whatever you want and still get shredded!” I thought, yeah, a lot of programs say that. That sounds like another scam.  But Kinobody means it, as you’ll learn below.

Beachbody Didn’t Give Me The Results I Wanted

I knew I wanted a home workout program, cause that’s what I’ve been doing for years. I’ve gone through various cycles of Beachbody workout programs like P90X and Insanity among others.

They are great programs, but even with 6 day a week workouts, I just never hit my fitness goals. I always had extra fat to lose, and never got the muscular body or defined look I was aspiring to have…that is until I gave the Kinobody Movie Star Program a try.

5 Essential Components To Kinobody Programs For You To Succeed

I’m going to break down what I believe are the 5 most essential components of the program that make it so incredibly powerful for losing fat and lean muscle growth, only using your own body weight.

These 5 components are a strict recipe you must follow for success.

They are essential to build strength, develop lean muscle and drop unwanted fat.

You can’t do one without the other. They need to be implemented together, in order to get the results you want.

Just google ‘kinobody before and after pics’. All those people got results from following what you’ll read below.

Hitting Your Daily Nutrition Is Essential For Fat Loss

This is, without question, the most important part of the program from the start.

This is equally important for Movie Star Body as it is for the Aggressive Fat Loss Program or Greek God Program.

We’ll get to the workouts in the next section. But it’s very important to note one thing in particular.

Without the proper nutrition, the workouts won’t do much for you.

You will NOT get the results you’re after if you follow the workouts, but ignore the nutrition protocol of any Kinobody routine.

The idea is to get you to a point where you’re incredibly lean. How lean? Greg O’Gallagher, the founder of the program, wants you down to single-digit bodyfat percentage.

The Program Starts You At A 400 Calorie Deficit To Get Shredded Fast

This is all possible because of the eating portion of the program, which focuses on having you eat at a 400 calorie daily deficit.

This will cause you to lose approximately 4 – 5 pounds of pure body fat per month. I’ve written about this so many times I believe in it so strongly.

It just plain works.  I believe one of the biggest reasons diets fail miserably most of the time is because this essential component isn’t in place.

Or for some reason, they don’t stress the importance of it.

The 400 calorie deficit is a game-changer, and it’s simple to do with intermittent fasting.

Now, once you calculate your daily caloric intake, it’s equally important that you eat the proper amount of protein for your weight to build lean muscle mass.

These calculations are all available when you purchase the program.

I shared this exact method with my own friends, who also saw incredible results.

Kinobody makes eating so unbelievably simple and fun, which is part of the reason why my mind was blown at the end of 3 months.

My body changed dramatically while I was eating foods I loved – the same foods I used to reserve for cheat days.

Yes, you can eat pizza, ice cream, hamburgers, fries, cake, and whatever else you want. I’ve never seen this kind of eating plan anywhere else. You see programs telling you that you can eat what you want, but there’s always some kind of restriction that makes it feel like a chore.

The thing about Kinobody is the eating plan doesn’t feel restrictive at all, and I believe it has to do with the magic of intermittent fasting.

Now, at first I honestly didn’t believe that would be possible for me. How on earth can we eat foods we love while at the same time lose body fat and weight?

Body fat scales are known for being inaccurate, but I remember an old scale of mine telling me I was at 15% body fat.

So, when I saw that in the program that the goal is to get us to single-digit body fat, I just laughed and thought to myself, um, ok…I’ve tried, and I’ve tried and I’ve tried and I never got anywhere close to that.

It’s hard to believe something is possible when you’re so far away from that goal in the first place.

It’s especially hard to believe when you’ve done every workout program under the sun and tried every eating plan known to man.

So, I bought a new body fat scale right before I started the program. I’m sure it’s still quite inaccurate. My guess is that it’s at least 2 – 3% off.

But when I started the program, the scale said I was at 11% body fat. As of this writing, the scale says I’m at 7.7%  and I notice a significant increase in lean muscle mass.

I don’t know what my exact body fat percentage is, but I DO know that I’ve dropped more than 3% since I started Kinobody workouts. More importantly, I’m proud of the changes I see in the mirror.

I used to be incredibly self-conscious about man boobs.

I had love handles I couldn’t figure out how to get rid of. These are no longer issues I dwell on.

Because of Kinobody, I was not only able to lose weight, but I burned off unwanted fat, and got way leaner and defined than I’ve ever been in my life.

The Workout Plan Is Designed For Optimal Muscle Gains

The bodyweight workouts are intense and incredibly fun. They work all your major muscle groups, and you do them only 3 days per week.

I had no idea they’d be so effective in muscle growth and transforming your physique.

These workouts include multiple variations of push-ups, pull-ups, chin-ups, hanging knee-ups, a variety of squat moves, and quite a bit more.

I still can’t do a one-armed push-up, but it’s okay, cause I’m doing a variation that I’ve worked up to. I also can’t do a one-armed pull-up yet, but I’m getting close.

There are multiple variations of each workout, so you can start at your comfort level. When I started the program, I was doing each workout in its most basic form.

These workouts get more intense gradually.

Month 1

The workouts are as basic as they can be, but you really get to feel the changes happening in your body.

Month 2

The workouts vary up a bit and more volume is added them, helping you develop more strength gradually

Month 3

Month 3 is the final phase of the program and is what Greg calls the “shrinkwrap” effect.

This is a skin tightening effect, so as you’re gaining muscle mass, it’s far more noticeable in this phase, which starts to happen in month 3.

That’s because the workouts become more intense AND you change up the nutrition protocol slightly.

It’s when you start to really notice the muscular body you’ve built.  You’ve worked your way up to month three from the first 2 months.

As of this writing, I’m going through the program a third time.

This time around, I’m actually trying to GAIN weight in the form of lean muscle mass. I’m 5″10, and when I began the program, I weighed 153 lbs.

I dropped down to 137 lbs over the course of doing the program. It’s crazy to think I lost 16 pounds of fat. Based on my results, I was told to start doing a lean bulk by customer support.

So, I’m adding calories to my daily diet, according to the nutrition plan in the program, and also increasing the intensity of the workouts.

I bought a weighted vest last week and began taking creatine daily in month 2 this round. I’m almost at 140 lbs these past few days, which I’m happy about.

When I look in the mirror sometimes, my head will spin. I don’t understand how my body transformed like this. My results aren’t jaw-dropping like other members of the program.

I’ve seen some transformations that are simply awe-inspiring.

But what matters to me is the change that happened to my body in only 3 months is much more obvious than any other program I’ve followed.

One thing I should mention, is that support told me the Greek God Program would be best for me next if I really want to add more mass and maximize muscle growth.

You can learn about that program here.

I may seriously consider diving into that when I choose to go back to the gym. There are various programs within Kinobody and they’re all fantastic.

You can learn which one would be best for your specific body type here.

I personally love the movie star program cause you can literally do the workouts anywhere.

You can get really creative with ways of doing routines if you don’t have access to traditional equipment.  I’ll give you a few examples.

  • I did chin-ups on tree branches when I was out on a trip away from home

  • I was able to get my calf raises in on the edge of a toilet seat

  • I do my L-sits using my grandma’s walker

  • I did weighted pistol squats using gallons of water for resistance

As I said, you can do this anywhere and with minimal equipment and still maximize muscle growth.

Walking 10,000 Steps Daily Speeds Up Fat Loss Like Crazy

Another very important part of the program is walking daily.

This was another game-changer in my life cause I always believed that the only way to lose body fat effectively is by doing intense cardio workouts.

Interestingly enough, even when I’d complete 60 days of Shaun T’s Insanity, I didn’t get the same fat-burning results as I did by just walking 10,000 steps per day.

Walking 10,000 steps a day burns fat amazingly well.

Plus, it’s ridiculously laid back.

Greg stresses that when we overwork ourselves with intense cardio, that can cause us to become ravenously hungry and overeat.

So, the only cardio he suggests we do is walk.

It can mess with your head a little because we walk all around the house, to the mailbox, to the car, and wherever else.

I get about 2,000 steps in a day without even trying, just cause I’ve got to go to the bathroom, kitchen, living room, etc…

All of those steps count. I use an app to track all my steps daily. When you walk 10,000 steps per day, you burn about 400 – 500 calories each time you do it.

This is all calculated into the program, so one of the big reasons we see such a dramatic transformation happen to our bodies is because we implement this into our daily lives.

It takes about 90 minutes to walk 10,000 steps, depending on your pace.

During the summer, I love walking to the grocery store to get food, and run errands, and it’s very easy to get out of the way without really thinking too much about it.

My new method is saving me that hour and a half every day. I work from home.

So, I bought a treadmill and attached a desk to it. I set the speed to 3 miles per hour, and I get a ton of work done, and before I know it, all my steps are out of the way for the day.

I strongly suggest this method if you want to just get them out of the way while multi-tasking on your laptop.

The only downside to this is I really miss listening to music on my walks. So, I may break this up soon into two parts of my day.

I just need to be getting fresh air and hearing new sounds. But anyway, this is an option.

Walking Daily Replaces Cardio Altogether

Walking 10,000 steps a day will replace any other cardio you do. So, on this program, there is no other cardio that’s required.

Those 400 – 500 extra calories burned per day make a major difference in your physique.

The beauty of walking though is that it just doesn’t really feel like work at all. It’s the laziest cardio I’ve ever done and I love it.

Intermittent Fasting Makes Fat Loss Simple

Intermittent fasting is a staple of all Kinobody routines. It’s incredibly powerful when the goal is to drop body fat while also gaining muscle. Because you have a period of the day without eating at all, your body gets to focus on fat burning.

You don’t HAVE to do intermittent fasting, as long as you follow your calorie needs per day. But if you want optimal results with any Kinobody routine, you should absolutely do it.

The idea of intermittent fasting used to scare me. Just the word “fasting” freaked me out. But when you wrap your head around what it actually is, you come to realize how simple it is to do.

You literally just choose certain hours of your day that you don’t eat.

I’m personally not eating for 16 hours per day. 8 of those hours are when I’m asleep.  So it’s actually very simple to do.

Greg simply suggests that you don’t eat for 4 – 6 hours after you wake up every day. It’s that simple to get started with intermittent fasting.

I make it fun! Or maybe eating is just fun now that I do intermittent fasting.

It used to be a chore back when I used to eat 5 to 6 small low carb meals per day.  That was a pain, and I got tired of eating the same old boring foods.

But that’s not the case anymore. I eat three meals a day.

At the time of this writing, I’m eating 2400 calories per day, and I break those calories up into three simple meals.

Click here for a detailed look at what one week of intermittent fasting in my life looks like.   Every single meal in included.

Here’s A Basic Breakdown Of My Daily Eating

  • MEAL #1 – 700 calories
  • MEAL #2 – 1,000 calories
  • MEAL #3 – 700 calories

It’s not always those exact numbers, but I’d say that’s what I aim for on a daily basis. I try to make my second meal a huge feast, as that’s my dinner.

I’ll eat anything from steak and cheesy potatoes to air-fried chicken and pasta, and so many other foods.

As long as I’m hitting my daily calories and protein, it’s really up to me what I eat.  This is NOT the case when you eat a low carb diet.

Also, I like to eat meal #3 in bed. We’ve been told by the health and fitness industry not to eat before bed, right?

Well, Kinobody says that it’s totally fine to do, because what really matters for fat loss is that we stay within our daily calorie budget.

And, as far as I can tell, I’ve gotten leaner and more defined eating midnight pizza and ice cream in bed than I did when I used to avoid eating 3 hours before sleep.

  1. The great thing about intermittent fasting for me is that I’m never hungry when I wake up anyway. I used to force myself to eat breakfast cause I thought that we’re SUPPOSED to eat breakfast right when we wake up. But now I can wake up and get to my day without having to think about food. I just drink coffee and that keeps my appetite away until I eat my first meal several hours later.
  2. I no longer have to waste time or think about preparing 5 to 6 small meals per day. I used to believe that was how we were supposed to eat for optimal fat loss. I was wrong. So, it’s a beautiful thing now that I save myself a ton of time in my day not having to think about what tiny little meals I’ll be making every few hours.

The Facebook Kinobody Community – Assistance On Social Media

This was one of the most surprising and also one of the most important parts of purchasing the Kinobody Movie Star Program.

The Facebook group is such an amazing community, and to be honest, I was insecure about saying a single word or asking any question within the group during my first few months.

But then, as I got a feel for the community, I came to realize that it was people just like myself. They’re just as vulnerable about their own progress.

Some started their journey very much overweight, while others were underweight and trying to figure out how they should alter the program for their specific needs.

The Kinobody Community Is Filled With People At All Levels On Their Journeys

The Kinobody Facebook community is NOT filled with arrogant bros showing off their perfect bodies on social media.

But you WILL see a lot of posts from guys who are proud of their transformations, and rightly so.

Some people have gone through the Aggressive Fat Loss Program, as they had more weight to lose, while others went through the Greek God Program to maximize muscle growth or Movie Star Body to increase muscle mass and burn off unwanted fat simultaneously.

It’s inspiring to see this kind of progress being made by so many different people at various ages and fitness levels.

I remember when I shared my own transformation from my first 3 months and people cheered me on and gave me suggestions as to what I should do next.

The Facebook community is filled with emotional beings who truly care about seeing you make progress. I’ve had so many questions along this journey, and they’ve all been answered, helping me make educated decisions moving forward.

I can’t stress enough how important the Facebook community is to the program.

Kinobody Can Seriously Transform You Unlike Any Other Program

I hope this Kinobody review was helpful. I just realized looking at the word count that this is the longest article I’ve ever written. It makes sense though.

This program is the reason I write about health and fitness now. It’s the reason I have a newfound confidence with my body, which also lends itself to many other areas of my life.

I love helping people learn how simple it can be to lose weight, burn fat, develop lean muscle mass, and hit their fitness goals.

I was interested in writing health and fitness articles years ago. But I never did, because I realized I can’t help people unless I can help myself first. And then Kinobody happened.

kinobody movie star program review

I still think it’s funny that I discovered Kinobody completely by accident, but I’m so glad I did. This is, without question, the most powerful and transformational workout and nutrition program that I have ever followed in my life.

If you have even considered getting it, just do it. I promise you it will change your life in so many ways if you allow it to. Just follow what it teaches. It’s very simple to do.

If you do choose to purchase this program directly from this site, I’d be more than happy to set up a day of meals for you based on your caloric needs.

Just send an email to letting me know you made the purchase, and we can discuss it from there.

Thank you so much for reading. If you have any questions or comments at all, please let me know below and I’ll be more than happy to get back to you as soon as I can. I really appreciate you being here.

  1. This program is very helpful in loosing body fat. And, loosing up to 3% body fat naturally in a few months is a great thing and I would really look forward to follow the routine.

    1. Thanks for your comment Aman – well they actually stress that we shouldn’t be counting our body fat percentage, but rather just look in the mirror and decide if we’re happy with what we see. I mention the 3% body fat because I do have a scale that measures BF% and it did go down 3% in a few months. In the end, all that matters is if you’re happy with the results you see in the mirror and can feel just in your own clothes.

  2. You mean I can eat whatever I want! This is a part I have never heard from a trainer. This looking for how this can be true. Then what are all these trainers been teaching us?

    1. Hey Wilson – yes you can eat what you want, but there ARE rules. The rules are that you must make sure to hit your daily calorie budget, which you calculate before you begin the program, based on your fitness goals…you set your fitness goals depending on whether you’re trying to lose body fat, or gain weight in the form of muscle. The other rule is that you hit your daily protein intake daily as well. That is what ensures that when you lose weight, it is in the form of fat, and not muscle or bone density. The workouts compliment all of this by helping shape your physique and get you defined. There are a variety of eating plans by many trainers out there, and I’m sure they work if you follow them, but the problem I see again and again is that they often times are far too complicated to follow and they aren’t sustainable. This program works because you can eat what you like as long as you adhere to the rules.

  3. The Kinobody program is not one to doubt at all. I have someone I gave one of the kinobody fitness articles to read and he read it and digested and began. I’m beginning to see the changes in him already. Thanks to this.

    1. Hey there! Thanks for the comment – you’re saying you gave your friend an article and he began a Kinobody program? What kind of changes are you seeing? I remember after my very first month of the program, my best friend said “you don’t have man boobs or love handles like before. I want to do whatever you’re doing”. That was the very first moment I realized that whatever I was doing was actually working! That’s exciting to hear that your friend is seeing results. I’d love for you to share updated progress if you can. Thanks!

  4. This kinobody program review is pretty cool. This review has great analysis which has positive impacts.

    1. Thanks I appreciate it – glad you feel there was great analysis in it. Let me know if you have any other questions at all.

  5. Obalade Damilola

Their is a lot of buzz about Kinobody program online. I see a lot of positive reviews . I’m amazed that you lost 13 pounds and dropped 3 percent body fat within a few months. This will encourage a lot of people to take advantage of this program. Thanks a lot for this review. It’s really an eye opener

    1. Thanks and I’m glad you feel those results are encouraging…right now I’m actually trying to gain weight in the form of muscle, following a new eating protocol within the program. But that’s because I already lost weight, and Kinobody support suggested I start eating at a calorie surplus as opposed to a deficit. Thank you for the comment and let me know if you give it a try!

  6. Some of the stuff mentioned like eating the food we love while still burning fat is somehow unrealistic but then it’s the truth. I really love this article it’s making body building interesting and realistic.

    1. Hi there – thank you for your point of view on this – I totally understand why someone would think it’s unrealistic to be able to eat our favorite foods while burning fat. But the thing is, as long as you’re in a calorie deficit while you eat your favorite foods, you WILL burn fat. For instance, today I ate a caramel brownie McFlurry from McDonald’s. For some reason they were giving them away free! My first meal is always around 700 – 750 calories, and I like to get about 40 – 45 grams of protein in there. So, I got the McFlurry (650 calories), and I had a scoop of unflavored protein (120 calories) – that totaled out to 750 calories for lunch, and 41 grams of protein. Not too bad…it’s all about counting properly. That’s where real fat burning happens. I’m glad you feel the article is interesting and realistic. Let me know if you have any other questions at all!

  7. It is really amazing to know that while doing a kinobody program you can still eat whatever you like. I think I like this kinobody program unlike some other fitness programs that you would need to fast to get your desired body shape,

    1. Hey there Harry – yep you can eat whatever you like on it, as long as you follow two simple rules. 1 – eat the right amount of calories each day, according to your personal needs. 2) eat the right amount of protein each day according to your needs. If you hit those two things every single day, you can eat your favorite foods and definitely achieve your fitness goals and desired body shape. Thank you for the comment 🙂

    1. Hi Terry – sorry to hear you aren’t getting your desired results with your current program. I was also following another program for a few months before I started Kinobody, and I just finally decided to join and start…I knew in the back of my mind that I was going to, but I’m SOOOO glad I did. Let me know when you do join and I’ll be more than happy to help you with any questions you have. Thanks for the comment!

  8. Generally In any fitness program we have to follow a strict diet, but here I can eat anything I want. Are you serious? If yes then this program is Awesome.

    1. Hi Utsav – yes, that’s true that you can eat whatever you want on this plan, and you don’t have to restrict yourself compared to other diets. But there ARE rules. 1) Make sure to eat your required calories each day, based on your calculation for your goals and 2) Eat the appropriate amount of protein each day based on your goals.

If you follow those two things, in conjunction with the workouts, you will yield incredible results. I see it time and again, every single day with new members. Let me know if you have any other questions and thanks for the comment 🙂

  9. This Kinobody review is amazing, really looks simple but the effect I am seeing on its Facebook page tells more. Effective if one can devote 100% to the program

    1. Hey there – glad you found the review helpful and thanks for the comment. I’m not sure which Facebook page you’re speaking of. Do you mean the Kinobody FB page? The group I speak of is actually a private group for members of the Movie Star Body program. That’s where we get a ton of personalized support to help make even more progress. But I’m sure the Kinobody FB page is helpful too. I know he’s on Instagram a lot and you can see lots of before and after success stories there if you check it out.
