I decided to write the Sweatcoin App review after having it installed on my phone for several months. I walk 10,000 steps daily as my cardio workout, so this app is tracking every step I take. It’s the only get paid for walking app that I know of, and it seemed like a no brainer, since I already track my steps with other fitness apps anyway. Why not get paid for walking?
You can download the app right here. It’s completely free, and I figured, even if was a scam, it’s not like I have anything to lose by installing it. Well, now that I’ve had it for several months, I can assure you it’s legit, and it’s pretty awesome what you can earn just for walking.
Although Sweatcoin does indeed reward you for walking, the payout structure has changed over time. From what I understand, it could very well be that they may have lost too much money with some options they previously had. You used to be able to trade in Sweatcoins for flat out cash. Not anymore…but it’s still great.
You will learn in this article about all the awesome stuff you can get for the Sweatcoins you earn, from gift cards that are as good as cash like Amazon, to vacations and electronics like Disney World and Peloton bikes.
Also, items you can get from the Sweatcoin marketplace are updated daily, and this a very small list of the various products you can get just for walking. I’ll get into the details of what you can expect when you download Sweatcoin onto your phone.
Download Sweatcoin For Free
You can download Sweatcoin for free by clicking here. Everything within the app is also free, meaning that you won’t ever make any transactions or purchases within the app that involve any kind of real currency. All transactions happen using Sweatcoins.
So just install the app, leave your phone in your pocket when you walk, and start earning Sweatcoins for doing something you already do anyway. Once you’ve earned enough sweatcoins, you trade them in for gift cards which are as good as cash, and also many amazing products.
If you walk a lot, you’ll earn substantial amount of Sweatcoins much faster, which means you’ll be able to trade them in much sooner. And if you aren’t actively walking daily, then installing Sweatcoin onto your phone is a great incentive to get started. Plus, you burn 400 – 500 calories just walking 10,000 steps so you’re benefiting your health anyway.
Why Sweatcoin Pays You To Walk
This was one of the very first questions I had when I heard about Sweatcoin. Why on earth would a phone app pay you to walk? Well, it’s actually very simple.
Because you have to have geo-location turned on while using Sweatcoin, it uses your location to gather data and understand the overall demographics of where you live better, which then allows companies to create more targeted advertising campaigns.
Also, Sweatcoin now pays you to also walk indoors. Historically, they only paid for your outdoor steps, so this is a great development for those of you walking indoors.
Also, Sweatcoin partners with many companies that are featured inside the Sweatcoin marketplace. So, when you’ve earned enough Sweatcoins to buy something in the marketplace, you are being introduced to some companies that you may have never heard of. Let’s say you decide to trade in 11,000 Sweatcoins for a Cosmetics gift card to M.A.C.
Well, if you’ve never heard of M.A.C. – now you’ve gotten exposure to a new brand you weren’t aware of before, and if you love what you receive, you’ll probably shop with them again in the future.
HOW Do You Get Paid With Sweatcoin?
You earn sweatcoins every time you walk. So, if you’re an active person who walks a lot, this is going to be super easy for you. You trade in your Sweatcoins for cash gift cards, or for products in an auction setting. You don’t necessarily have to bid on items, but from what I can tell, the best payouts are in the auctions.
As of this writing, you use your sweatcoins to bid in auctions very similar to eBay. For instance, there’s a bid of 23,222 Sweatcoins for a $1000 Amazon Gift Card. There are 80 bidders at the moment, and someone is going to win it within the next few hours. You can bid on thousands of different items, from a Playstation 5, KettlebellConnect, Samsung TVs, headphones, vacations, and pretty much almost anything you can think of.
- Major Retail Gift Cards (Amazon, Nike, Target, etc…)
- High End Electronics (Samsung, Bose, etc..)
- Beauty Products (Ulta, M.A.C, etc…)
- Video Game Systems (Playstation, XBox, Oculus, etc…)
- Fitness Equipment (Peloton, KettlebellConnect, etc…)
- Vacations (trip to Iceland, all-inclusive Disney World Vacation, etc…)
- WHAT THEIR PAYOUT SYSTEM USED TO BE
Their payout system seems to have changed over time, and speculation is that they lost a great deal of money because, for a period, they gave out huge rewards for walking. For instance, you could get $1,000 cash reward for trading in 20,000 Sweatcoins.
They also had two incredible vacation packages. One was to Iceland, and another one was an all inclusive Disney World Resort Vacation. And even though you had to walk a substantial amount of steps to win these, they were very doable, especially if you’re active in walking daily. BTW, walking 10,000 steps a day burns about 400 – 500 calories, and it’s not hard to do. You can learn how I do it here.
Can Sweatcoin Motivate You To Start Walking Daily?
I hope this app is enough of an incentive for somebody reading this. Hopefully it can get you to take action on your fitness goals. If you were already planning on starting a workout routine, I can tell you from personal experience, walking 10,000 steps per day can do amazing things to the body that you never would have thought possible. Now, imagine walking 10,000 steps per day and earning Sweatcoins at the same time. It will add up.
I never believed that walking would be more effective than intense cardio workouts, but I lost 13 pounds and 3% body fat just walking 10,000 steps daily within a few short months. I never got results like that with intense home cardio workouts like Insanity. With the right eating plan, combined with walking 10,000 steps daily, you will see amazing results, and you can earn with Sweatcoin at the same time.
My goal of this website is to help people develop better health and fitness habits, and to get into shape with ease. If you’re planning to download the Sweatcoin app, this could be a perfect opportunity for you to earn while setting off on a journey to get into your ideal shape at the same time.
Sweatcoin Is A No Brainer
To me, it’s a no brainer. Install Sweatcoin onto your phone and earn. It’s the only get paid for walking app that know of, and the company seems to be always expanding. I was a little bummed that I found out about Sweatcoin after I’d already been walking 10,000 steps daily for a month.
I kept thinking to myself about all the Sweatcoins I missed out on. But anyway, at least I use it daily now and I keep it on all the time. I’m saving them up, probably for the $1000 Amazon gift card, cause I shop on Amazon for everything.
What would you buy with Sweatcoins? A TV or a Playstation? A vacation or gift card? I’m saving up for the Amazon gift card, but I’d definitely consider using my Sweatcoins on the perfect vacation if I see one that piques my interest show up. New items are being added regularly, so always keep your eye out.
I hope the Sweatcoin app review laid out here answered any questions you have about the app. If you have any questions, comments, or experience regarding anything you read here, please let me know in the comments below and I’ll make sure to get back to you as soon as possible. Thank you so much for reading.
