5 Weight Loss Inspirational Quotes

I woke up today feeling inspired and thought it was a good idea to find some more weight loss inspirational quotes. I’ve got a few other articles of the same topic, and you can check out the most recent one here.

It’s always nice to get into this head space and dig into the complex emotions that go along with weight loss and achieving our fitness goals. I understand the vulnerabilities, barriers, and self-doubt that always ride along with us on our journeys to better ourselves.

So, I invite you to read through this article in self-reflection, and even though it’s hard to believe it sometimes, you can absolutely hit your weight loss goals. I personally know many people who were feeling overwhelmed with defeat, but they kept moving forward anyway, and made amazing transformations because of their determination.

So, without further ado, here are 5 weight loss inspirational quotes. I hope they resonate with you.

1 – ONCE YOU CONTROL YOUR MIND, YOU CAN CONQUER YOUR BODY

I truly believe that the ability to control our minds is quite possibly the most important part of our weight loss journeys. I know people who transformed their physiques from being severely overweight to having lost well over 100 pounds, and now are living very healthy and active lifestyles. It’s incredibly inspiring.

And each and every time, their success has boiled down to them finally conquering the negative thinking that often takes over us on our weight loss paths.

I understand how easy it is to succumb to negative thoughts. Even now, as I write articles to help people hit their fitness goals, I have moments of self-doubt, when I criticize myself for not looking the same today as I did yesterday. And I realize I have to destroy those thoughts immediately and take the driver seat on this path.

Once you take the driver’s seat on your weight loss journey, and mute the critic within, being your mind, you will be well-equipped to hit your goals. Here’s a guided meditation for weight loss, to help you take control of your negative thinking.

2 – IMAGINE YOURSELF A YEAR FROM NOW. YOU WILL GET THERE

One of the things that used to inspire me every morning when I woke up was looking at an image taped up on my wall of what I wanted my life to look like in a year.

If your weight loss journey feels a bit too daunting, because you have such a long way to go, I understand. But rather than focus on how difficult it all seems, or where you’re at now, I’d suggest developing a practice on focusing on where you want to be in a year from now.

And keep working every single day towards that goal. A year is a very long time to make amazing progress. Take steps every day toward that goal. I guarantee you can get there.

3 – FALL IN LOVE WITH TAKING CARE OF YOURSELF

Taking care of yourself requires discipline. You know what you should be doing to take care of your body. Eat right. Exercise. Stay consistent, and take baby steps towards your goals.

I’ve come to learn that many people don’t know where to even begin when it comes to losing weight and staying healthy. That may be because the health and fitness industry feeds us with so much information, it’s impossible to know what the right path for you is.

Here’s an eating plan I’ve shared with several friends, and it’s helped them all lose weight while maintaining healthy eating habits. It’s simple and designed to help you lose 4 – 5 pounds per month while enjoying your life and most importantly, getting into the habit of taking care of yourself.

4 – DON’T GIVE UP ON WHAT YOU WANT MOST IN SWAP FOR WHAT YOU WANT NOW

Ah yes. Instant gratification is a dangerous thing. It’s something we all want, but it’s also what we must learn to resist when we set off on journeys that require the development of habits, persistence, and determination.

We don’t feel any sense of reward when we give into instant urges. You know the urges I’m talking about. It’s so simple to just devour that huge slice of cake sitting there, or the pepperoni pizza on the table.

Now, don’t get me wrong. I’m not saying it’s bad to eat those things. In fact, I think it’s good practice to indulge in your favorite foods from time to time. Learn how you can do it right here.

You can eat what you want. But giving in to food cravings that will derail your progress is a completely different topic, and may be better suited for another article.

I feel fad diets are built around the concept of instant gratification as well and they feed off people’s insecurities. Don’t give in to those headlines shouting that you can lose 20 pounds in 2 weeks. There is no reward that will come from that.

What you really want – real and sustainable weight loss takes time. It takes dedication and daily practice.

5 – SUCCESS IS SMALL EFFORTS REPEATED UNTIL IT BECOMES A HABIT

One of the hardest things to do is actually develop a habit. I’ve done it quite a few times, and although the concept is simple, it’s not so easy to do.

However, you must develop habits if you want to see measurable and sustainable fat loss. Research states that it takes 21 days to develop a habit. Here are some habits you can develop right now:

What’s most important is that if you follow any of these suggestions listed, that you make the decision to implement them into your life. I’d start with walking daily or eating at a calorie deficit as they’re both very easy to get started with and develop a consistent routine with.

Now Go Destroy That Fat

The fact that you’re here at this article suggests to me that you’re on the road to weight loss success. You recognize that hitting your weight loss goals requires dedication, and it also means we’re only human, and need to find the motivation to keep going sometimes.

It’s not always a smooth journey. In fact, it can be downright overwhelming and take a complete toll on our emotions. It’s sometimes really hard to know where to look for inspiration, especially when our own family members and friends don’t necessarily travel the same paths we’re on. It’s an internal battle we fight to better ourselves, and I congratulate you for pushing forward.
